Benefits of Outdoor Learning

Forest School provides a way for children of all ages to learn outdoors. At our pre-school we follow the same early years education as other pre-schools but we do the majority of our learning outside and utilise natural resources wherever we can.

Our pre-school in Prestwich provides a real opportunity for children to embrace the outdoors and the freedom of it before going to primary school.

Primary teachers regularly tell us that our children are more ready for school as they have developed independence and confidence while enjoying their forest school experience.

We have a large enclosed forest school area as well as a garden and we have immediate access into the woods which we use regularly. We also have full care facilities and classrooms on site. However we are outside as much as possible!

Established in 2016, our Forest School is rated Outstanding with Ofsted. We are proud to be able to offer such a unique learning experience which gives opportunities to all types of different learning styles.

We take children from aged 3 plus up until school age. Children can then return for our forest school holiday clubs.

This is a truely unique site, just 15 minutes outside of Manchester city centre, offering a calming outdoor experience. The best way to experience it is to book a visit!
